VCON and Wave Three Partner to Offer Fully Converged Desktop Videoconferencing Solution

Combined solution addresses Windows and Apple-based platforms utilizing both SIP and H.323 standards

(June 8, 2004) Austin, Texas – VCON (Euronext- Nouveau Marché - ISIN CODE: IL 00 108 30540), a worldwide leader in audio and videoconferencing solutions, today announces a co-marketing and business development relationship with Wave Three Software, Inc., a leading developer of communication tools based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

Under the relationship, VCON and Wave Three Software, Inc. will offer the industry’s only full desktop solution for a mixed network of Windows and Apple-based platforms. In addition, the companies are delivering solutions based on both the SIP and H.323 signaling standards. VCON’s Media Xchange Manager (MXM), a management and video telephony server for rich media deployments, will support Wave Three’s Apple OS-compatible Session™ personal computer software. Supporting both SIP and H.323, the MXM allows the best of VCON and Wave Three’s desktop solutions be deployed within the same organization.

“This relationship with Wave Three allows the full power and versatility of the VCON MXM to be extended to the Apple installed base,” said Gordon Daugherty, chief marketing officer, VCON. “The fact that Wave Three’s Session client also supports SIP exploits yet another capability of the MXM.”

Session™ integrates Voice Over IP and Video Over IP into a single tool that runs on standard desktop and laptop computers. Session™ operates on existing general-purpose computers, including Apple G4 or G5 desktop and laptop computers. Wave Three is currently developing a version of Session™ that supports the Linux OS. All Session™ software clients operate using the SIP standard.

“The integration of our products marks a significant step forward for bringing an interoperable and extensible communication solution to the desktop,” said James Crabtree, president, Wave Three Software, Inc. “By offering full support for Windows, Apple, SIP and H.323, end-users can enjoy all of the benefits of desktop communications while leveraging their existing network.”

VCON’s MXM is at the heart of its integrated conferencing and collaboration solution. MXM has a full suite of tools for centrally managing and administering the rich media network, including bandwidth management, policy services, call detail records and billing reports. Existing MXM customers with previously unutilized Apple systems can now install the Wave Three Session client and have full access to the video telephony and management capabilities of the MXM.

Both companies will resell their collaborative solutions through Target Distributing, an existing VCON master distributor and a leading distributor of telecommunications products, security systems, IP telephony, blank audio, video and data media, A/V hardware and office automation equipment.

“We’re pleased to now offer a solution for our growing number of resellers supporting Apple customers,” said Randy Craig, director of video sales, Target Distributing.
