VCON to Demonstrate New High-Definition Product Line at CeBIT

(March 9, 2004) Unterhaching, Germany – VCON (Nouveau Marché ISIN Code: IL 00 108 30540), a worldwide leader in audio and videoconferencing solutions, today announced that it will showcase its advanced new product family of High-Definition group videoconferencing solutions at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany (Hall 13, Booth C16) on March 18-24, 2004.

CeBIT will be the staging ground for VCON to hold the first public demonstration of the company’s recently introduced line of High-Definition group conferencing solutions. The HD products are characterized by cutting edge video quality combined with advanced feature sets and unmatched price performance. This will also be the first public display of VCON’s IGC 2000, a unique audio conferencing bridge that simulates the environment of everyone being in the room at the same time. With the introduction of the IGC 2000, VCON now offers a full portfolio of conferencing solutions to address a variety of requirements for audio and video conferencing and collaboration.

In addition to the new HD products, VCON will also be showing the VCB 2000, a multipoint conferencing bridge with embedded scheduling and conference moderation. VCON’s SecureConnect solution for firewall/NAT traversal and encryption will be featured along with experts who will discuss firewall traversal of videoconferencing on private networks. VCON’s The Media Xchange Manager® (MXM) will be the gatekeeper and management system controlling the network in the booth and vPointTM will be the highlighted desktop conferencing client.

Many of the products shown at CeBIT have been released by VCON in the past six months, demonstrating a rapid expansion in the area of rich media conferencing. As the conferencing markets (audio, video, data) blend and merge together, VCON is prepared with a full range of integrated conferencing products that provide the end user with a complete solution for their rich media network.

In a related announcement, VCON will be jointly demonstrating a new solution, Voice+ in Thomson’s booth, Hall 27, Booth A28, along with MATERNA Information and Communications. Voice+ is a jointly developed initiative that will help bridge the traditional PSTN world with the booming broadband world.
